TEF My summer internship
last week took place here in Tabor, a children's and youth recreation. My job was the head of the Kids (6-9 years), but I also had 2 employees.
Especially the first day was very stressful because I still do not assess the age group of well could. I first had to learn what the children could be fun and what they can already good, but I also like the slightly more difficult kids treated so as not to disrupt the entire program. But
ran from the 2nd day it really better day by day.
The theme was Wild West. So we tried a few games in and around the Wild West to make.
morning it was still only an explorer club for the kids, trying to solve puzzles to Bible stories. I was surprised every day new as well as they are in the Bible knew about (they were all preachers Tabor children)
Afterwards, there was an event for all ages, this event was in a lot of singing and there was a daily Face-off. Then it went
for Bible study and other games. We have tried most of the Bible stories in a Wild West story rewrite it, so the children can take longer, since the standard Bible stories they already knew anyway. At the games, everything was made possible (can throwing, Labyrinth, Cowboy Village building, etc..)
afternoon was then first 3 hours lecture and party games announced. On the 3rd day we started the lottery in time to play with the children, rather the children with us they invented the game.
Then there was different activities such as treasure hunts, swimming pool, T-shirt painting, 1,2 or 3, or a joint family afternoon (which the characteristic is that the parents are also in the period in Tabor and have an extra program that leisure makes to something else) ... Overall, I must say
it was great fun.
2 times I had the evening then helped with the teens. This was a nice and good experience because it was a different kind again. Thus gave a boys' night with sumo wrestling and then talk about man-woman relations and other. At the other evening there was a blessing evening.
I was glad I was able to pass there much to the teens, whether jointly or in person. Otherwise I have
evening even though I was often flat, which often made with the staff and heads of other age groups. Overall, we were all a great team and I am glad to have had it and work to clerical estate.
And life goes on ....
